ai / business scenario modelling
Runway
A connected cashflow and operating model for exploring business scenarios through a UI or AI tools.

The situation
Running a business means deciding what to do with an incomplete view of the future. Bank activity, accounting, operating costs and the sales pipeline sit in different systems, while a change in one assumption can alter the whole cash picture.
My contribution
I built Runway for myself: connecting the data, building the cashflow and operating model, and creating both a visual interface and an MCP server so AI tools can work with the same scenarios.
The work
The model brings together bank, accounting and operational data with costs, payroll, funding and pipeline assumptions. Scenario changes sit over the real plan without rewriting it. Through the UI or MCP, I can explore what happens if the pipeline converts, costs need to be reduced, receipts move or VAT payments are spread. The engine calculates the effects, compares scenarios and can turn a scenario into a dated action plan.
The result
A working personal decision-support tool connecting real business data with repeatable what-if modelling. VAT forecasts and cash timing are calculated within the model, using its configured assumptions. The AI interface helps express and explore complex scenarios; the underlying engine performs the calculations.
