The situation
The customer needed to modernise a platform while continuing to support its existing functionality. A complete replacement would concentrate risk into a single transition.
My contribution
I worked with the customer on solution direction and led frontend and design work, collaborating with a Principal Engineer on the wider technical approach.
The work
Used a strangler-pattern approach to progressively replace legacy functionality. Product and frontend decisions were made alongside the architecture so the user experience and technical transition could move together.
The result
Supported a phased modernisation path rather than a single replacement event. My role combined customer-facing direction, experience design and frontend leadership; this was a collaborative architecture effort.
